Industry Transition Dialogue

Ahead of Stockholm+50 – an international meeting convened by the United Nations to commemorate 50 years since the UN Conference on the Environment – The Leadership Group for Industry Transition and the World Economic Forum will host an Industry Transition Dialogue. The Dialogue will gather ministers, CEOs, and representatives from leading industry transition initiatives to follow up on commitments from COP26 and discuss the the scale of action required for heavy industry sectors to meet the 1,5°C target. In connection to the Industry Transition Dialogue, participants will also have the possibility to visit steel and cement companies in Sweden leading the way towards near net-zero emissions production by 2030, as well as those in carbon-neutral transport and buildings.

This is the perfect opportunity for public and private actors to share expertise, advance policies and partnerships, and align on urgent actions, setting the agenda for COP27, G7, and G20.
