Context
With COP31 in Türkiye in focus, this event will explore how to turn climate ambition into implementation at scale. A key challenge is ensuring that low-carbon technologies become competitive on cost and performance, enabling their adoption across industries and markets. It will explore how India–Europe collaboration can accelerate that process in steel, cement and electrified transport, with the goal of making scalable, replicable solutions cost- and performance-competitive by 2030.
Europe and India bring complementary strengths: European experience in breakthrough technologies and first-of-a-kind projects, and India’s industrial demand, engineering expertise and manufacturing capacity. By combining these strengths, partnerships can help replicate successful approaches, strengthen supply chains, reduce costs and expand access to low-carbon solutions — including in emerging markets and the wider Global South.
Drawing on ERI’s Climate Solutions Framework, developed in collaboration with Oxford Net Zero, the discussion will also consider how science-based criteria can help identify credible climate solutions and assess their potential to scale.
Taking place in the lead-up to COP31, the event will contribute to the wider implementation agenda by identifying practical opportunities for international cooperation to accelerate industrial decarbonisation, strengthen clean technology markets and turn promising solutions into commercially viable options at scale.

Bharat Technology and Impact Accelerator (Bharatia) is a non-profit foundation (Samarth Bharat Foundation) that validates climate technologies, proves them through first-of-a-kind (FOAK) deployments in India, structures the capital to finance them and scales them across the Global South. It emerged from cGanga at IIT Kanpurand runs bilateral SITE Networks with several countries, including Sweden.

The Exponential Roadmap Initiative (ERI) unites companies that are innovators, disruptors and transformers to drive exponential climate action and scale solutions for an Earth-aligned economy. Founded on the Carbon Law, its Exponential Roadmap report identifies solutions with exponential scaling potential and how to acclerate them. ERI is an Eligible Net-zero Initiative participating in the UNFCCC Net-zero Recognition Framework pilot.
