Technologies are available, but policy certainty and market infrastructure remain key barriers to accelerating the transition to low carbon.

- 9.00 -9.10 – Welcome and opening remarks from the GCCA: Progress and the way forward
- 9.10-9.20 – Keynote address – Cement Breakthrough
- 9.20-10.20 – Panel discussion: Scaling demand for low carbon cement and concrete: Enablers and Challenges. Effective demand-side signals accelerate decarbonization and investment into low-carbon technologies. The panel will discuss success stories across the value chain and how we trigger wider demand signals to encourage policy change. This session will feature a solutions-oriented panel, bringing insights and practical examples from different stakeholders.
- 10.20-11.15- Panel discussion: Global solutions and local realities: Driving local carbon transition in EMDEs. Climate action takes place at the subnational level. The challenge remains how to translate global net-zero ambitions into local country-specific actions. This panel will focus on key actions and on‑the‑ground solutions to enable effective, multi‑scale strategies towards low-emission cement and concrete.

- 11.45 -12.45 – Panel discussion: From innovation to project implementation: Financing and technology to deliver the transition. This panel will explore the critical role of innovation in accelerating decarbonisation, particularly as we work to scale breakthrough technologies from pilot stage to commercial deployment. It will also examine the major financial gaps and investment barriers that must be addressed to turn technological progress into real-world implementation at the pace required.

About London Climate Action Week
London Climate Action Week (LCAW) was founded in 2019 by E3G in partnership with the Mayor of London. It is the largest city-wide climate festival in Europe and one of the world’s largest independent climate change events.
Its mission is to harness the unique power of London for global and local climate action. 2026, running from 20 to 28 June is the eight edition and focuses on four themes:
- Building, investing and innovating the clean economy
- Understanding climate risk and building resilience
- Regenerating nature and oceans
- Mobilising whole-of.-society climate action
