Compliance and Programme Evaluation for Green Public Procurement.

4 November 2021

Written by Ali Hasanbeigi, Dinah Shi

In our third and final brief of a series of white papers, we give recommendations for the compliance and evaluation of Green Public Procurement (GPP) programmes to reduce emissions in cement, concrete and steel products. The brief is jointly produced by the Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT), the Industrial Deep Decarbonisation Initiative (IDDI), the United Nations Industrial Development Organization (UNIDO), and the Clean Energy Ministerial (CEM).

The series of white papers goes into detail on how to implement Green Public Procurement Programmes for the steel and cement sectors, following our How to guide for green public procurement in the steel and cement sectors published in June 2021. The first brief in the series focused on target setting for GPP Programmes and the second brief outlined the standards and evaluation guidelines.
