Targeting Net-Zero: Leveraging a Just Transformation of the Global Steel Sector
Public and private actors, as well as industry associations and non-governmental organizations, will need to come together to create just pathways and accelerate the implementation of low-carbon technologies and innovation. It is essential to establish functioning markets for green transitions.
This high-level event on 3 November, 10.00-11.30am GMT, will explore the opportunities and challenges of a just global transition to green steel. The event is organized by German Federal Ministry for the Environment, Nature Conservation and Nuclear Safety, Lund University, Wuppertal Institute and Agora Industry. LeadIT is co-organizing the event and the Head of Secretariat Gökce Mete will be one of the moderators of the event.
