The Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT) was launched by the prime ministers of Sweden and India with support from the World Economic Forum (WEF) during the UN Secretary-General’s Climate Action Summit on 23 September, 2019, in New York.

Representatives from Sweden, India and the World Economic Forum make up LeadIT’s Management Board. A Technical and Expert Committee, made up of LeadIT member representatives, advises the Board. The Board approves new members and decides on the workplan of the Secretariat.
