Industry Transitions in South Africa, Sweden and India
Industrial actors play a key role to reduce CO2 emissions globally and heavy industries are crucial in order for many countries to reach the target of the Paris Agreement and achieve a just transition to a low-carbon future. This workshop is hosted by The Embassy of Sweden in Pretoria and it is organized together with the High Commission of India in Pretoria.
The workshop will focus on the policy making perspectives, challenges, and opportunities around industry transition in South Africa and Sweden and is part of an exchange series on the role of the industry in achieving the target of the Paris Agreement.
LeadIT has been invited by The Embassy of Sweden in Pretoria to outline its offers on international collaboration between governments and businesses to achieve the target of the Paris Agreement. Måns Nilsson, Executive Director of Stockholm Environment Institute (SEI), that hosts the LeadIT Secretariat, will be presenting LeadIT and how the group works to drive transition forward.
