Virtual Industry Transition Day

The Virtual Industry Transition Day convened leaders, communities and the general public online from across the global industry transition and climate space, to raise ambition for the industry transition towards net-zero greenhouse gas emissions by 2050. This one-day virtual event was organised by the Mission Possible Platform curated and hosted by the World Economic Forum in collaboration with Mission Innovation and the Leadership Group for Industry Transition (LeadIT).

Eva Svedling, Sweden’s State Secretary for the Environment, and Lord Nicholas Stern, Chair of the Grantham Research Institute on Climate Change at the London School of Economics (LSE) discussed how policy-makers can shift from COVID-19 rescue measures to green recovery, and what types of recovery packages are needed to accelerate the industry transition with co-benefits for people and the planet.
