Synergy Advanced Metals Limited is an Indian company specializing in the production and supply of advanced metals and alloys for a wide range of industries.
Its stainless steel products support sectors such as gas and defence, amongst others. It has a vertically integrated manufacturing process, from raw material melting to the production of final, finished products across categories, including billets, long products like wire rods, wires and rebars, bright bars and fasteners. Synergy sells both within India and abroad, supplying stainless steel long products to customers in several international markets.
Founded in 1973, the company has established itself in the metals manufacturing sector. Over the past four decades, it has grown to become a key stainless steel long product manufacturer in India. It currently employs more than 500 permanent employees, with several hundred more in contract roles. The company’s key sites are in New Delhi, where it has its headquarters and in Alwar, Rajasthan.
As a producer of stainless steel from scrap, the company currently relies on coal-based electricity. Transitioning to renewable energy is a key decarbonization lever and SAML has already entered an agreement to source 38.4MW of renewable power from a project in Rajasthan.
