SEK 10 million funding available for Swedish companies to work with Indian partners

SEK 10 million is available for projects that provide innovative solutions which contribute to the decarbonization of the cement and/or steel industries in India.

A call for proposals under the LeadIT Industry Transition Partnership (ITP) is now open for Swedish companies to conduct feasibility studies and pilot projects in collaboration with Indian partners. The call is managed by the Swedish Energy Agency which looking for “scalable, innovative technologies that can contribute to India’s long-term green transition”

Who can apply?

The call is aimed at the Swedish business community; small, medium-sized and large companies that have operations and solutions that can be commercialized and are of relevance to the cement and steel industries.

The type of projects which are eligible for support includes:

  • evaluation and analyses of the potential for a possible pilot and/or demonstration project
  • identification of resources required to implement a pilot and/or demonstration project
  • developing forms of cooperation for Swedish and Indian parties, for example analyses of ownership and management of project results and intangible assets
  • other activities aimed at supporting the decision-making process for a pilot and/or demonstration project

The deadline for applications is September 1, 2025.

Decisions on which projects will be granted support are planned to be made in November 2025.
